WPER-150GN USB Half Mini Card |
Standardized Dimension for Easy USB Integration
|
SparkLAN ships WPER-150GN, an 802.11gn wireless Half Mini Card with USB Bus interface, that helps manufactures and integrators reduce overall development time.
Due to USB module?s dimension variation, developers often pay extra attention on dimensions of USB modules at the developing stage for devices that requires USB signals. Considering this inconvenience, SparkLAN is now offering developers a great solution, WPER-150GN, which is a Wi-Fi module in Half Mini Card form factor but with USB Bus interface. Half Mini Card has standard dimensions so developers don?t need to design its System Board according to individual USB module?s size.
WPER-150GN eliminates hardware and software development time and thus reduces time-to-market. It quickly enables networking functionality for products, and let designers focus on core product design competency. |

Wi-Fi Robot Helps Treat Trauma Patients |
|
Wi-Fi technology enables a robot to help patrol the Medical Center
By Joanie Wexler |
|
A robot roaming from bedside to bedside at the Ryder Trauma Center at the University of Miami/Jackson Medical Center in Florida is expanding the reach of physicians in an initiative that could one day extend to U.S. soldiers overseas.
Locally powered by a battery pack and networked by Wi-Fi, a 5-foot-tall RP-7 robot made by InTouch Health "stands in" for doctors after their eight-hour shifts have ended, explains Frank Rodriguez, IT director of network and security operations at the medical center.
